I often find myself swamped with requests to do charity finance jobs and while I would have loved to take them all on it is simply not possible. The charity sector often find themselves with a lack of finance experts to fulfill these roles because truth be told the money is not as good as in other sectors. This is sad as having a good financial expert on board can really help steer a charity in the right direction and make sure that they have adequate funding for all their needs. I signed up to help out after discovering a recruitment agency that specializes in hiring for the charity sector. Since I would be able to help out whenever I am free I felt like I had nothing to lose by offering my services. I only wish that more people with the required financial skills would do the same as it would make an enormous difference.
